This pie is awesome! This was my first attempt at making Key Lime Pie and it was so easy...and delicious. Next time I'll try it with a brown sugar crust hoping to get just a little closer to Bahama Breeze's amazing dessert.

My mom made this for a dinner party and said she didn't think she'd have to ever try any other recipes - this one was perfect! At least one person at the party said it was the best they'd ever had. Mom would add that she used Nellie & Joe's (Famous) Key West Lime Juice and baked for 45 minutes. Thanks for the recipe Kelly!
This is a wonderful recipe. I used a 10 inch springfoam pan vs the pie shell and it turned out beautifully. I also grated several limes and added the zest into the pie itself before baking. Gave it that extra zip. I have been searching for a great key lime recipe and this did not disappoint. Thank you
Key lime pie is my husband's favorite dessert so I gave this one a try for his birthday and we all loved it. I also added a little lime zest to the filling. Thanks for the wonderful recipe! :)
We really enjoyed this pie. I have never made a key lime pie before, but bought the key limes and made it with the fresh limes. I did use one can of fat free and one regular of the Sweetened Condensed Milk. Since I was not able to find a 9" graham cracker crust, I made my own and put it in a cheese cake pan. My sort of pie. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Tried original - excellect! Then just for "grins" tried the same recipe in a pretzel pie crust. Two totally different tastes - one sweet the other a big coarser and "salty/firm"??? Both were great!
I have spent a lot of time and ingredients searching for an authentic Key Lime Pie recipe. This is the definite winner hands down. It embodies the perfect meld of tart to sweet. Dense and creamy like the original I added whipped cream as Wildflower suggests. This pie could not be any easier to make I would not change a thing. My searching is over, thank you Wildflower for submitting this wonder treat!
You're not kidding when you say creamy! The recipe didn't fit the 10 inch pie crust to the top... there was about a centimeter lip left. I found it a bit too sweet. My 4 yo daughter squeezed every single key lime and, essentially, the pie was so easy to make, she made it herself (well, i helped separate the eggs). Thank you for the recipe!
