My dh loved this dish. He couldn't get enough of it. It surprised me how much he enjoyed this. I had cooked this the same night I made a chicken pot pie that i've been making for years. My husband LOVED this dish! He went back for seconds and thirds! I added Italian Seasoning and Poultry Seasoning to the mix and subbed crushed croutons for the onions as we really don't like them. I will definitely be making this again and again for hubby! Thanks for the fab recipe!
This was easy and turned out well, except that I should have added more salt (I guess I needed an exact amount). It makes a lot, and you have to be careful when stirring it in the pan.
This was a great recipe! Everyone in the family liked it very much. However, our tastes run to the more spicy dishes and although I added chopped onion, a dash of Tabasco and red pepper it still was a tad on the blandish side. I also added sharp cheese instead of the mild. I will definitely use this again with some tweaking for our tastes. Thanks for posting it!
Oh yum... this was SO good. I especially loved the fried onions on top. This is definitely a "repeat" recipe Kathy.
What a good recipe. My sons response was "Oh Man this is good" and my husband told me 5 times while eating most of the casserole "I like this, you can make this one again". I used Rotini pasta and a 15 oz. can of veg all because that was what I had on hand. Just added another chicken breast to make up the difference. So thanks for the keeper I'm sure my family will be asking for over and over.
