Love it. Love it. Love it. Of course, I was raised in Cenral PA and my matriachal family is heavy on the Dutchie side. I made half with celery seed for my vegie-phobic sweetie, and half with all the good vegie crunch for me. We gobbled it up.

I have been making this recipe for quite a while, with the only change being that I use canned, sliced potatoes. It is the best Hot German Potato Salad recipe I heve ever found and always gets many compliments and requests for my recipe. Thanks!

I'm sorry, but I felt that the dressing was far too thick and sweet. Perhaps less flour and sugar would help. I prefer a sauce that is more tangy and flavorful, so I added more vinegar and also a bit more salt. The flavors were very nice, but just too thick and sugary of a dressing.

Excellent! I didn't get a photo this time , we were hungry and dinner was late. I will definitely make this again and get a photo! I love the addition of the diced celery in place of celery seed! Very easy to put together and what a great side! Thanks so much for posting!

Truely outstanding. I used green onion and added both celery and dill seed, otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Preparation was easy, but had to add a little more water to the dressing before adding to the potato vegetable mix. I will be using this as a baseline for German Potato Salad.

A classic. With so many versions around it was good to find a "real" one...delicious. I made only one change; malt vinegar instead of cider vinegar. Thank you. Sorry I took so long to add the stars which are deserved. I forgot them when I reviewed this and only recently learned that I could change it.
