Thanks Bergy. I had meant to mention in the introduction that I, too, cut the sugar down. Three cups is great for ice cream but a bit too much as a liquor. I usually do 2 cups of sugar as well.
I made this as a Christmas gift for a friend and of course I HAD to sample it. I was so impressed that I had to whip up a batch for myself. I took the earlier suggestions of 2 cups of sugar instead of 3 and it turned out perfect. Everyone on my list is getting a bottle next year. Thanks for the recipe Tebo!
Very nice. Tastes very good. I would suggest adding a couple teaspoons of Basco, or Hersey chocolate syrup.
I tried this on a ('real' restraunt) chef friend that can be pretty picky about his food... and he loved it! Thanks for the sugar hint: it would have been too sweet with 3 cups.
