This is one of the first recipes I made by Julia Child and I still use it often. I like using these for a brunch or stuffed with ham & cheese for breakfast on the go.

Delicious biscuits! I loved the addition of chives and parsley. The biscuits are tender and moist with a wonderful flavor. Mine did not rise very high, but I assume I did something wrong since other photos show them raised very nicely. It might have been because I added more flour.? My dough was too wet to work with and I ended up using quite a bit more flour to knead it and pat it out. Anyway, the flavor was wonderful!

This has to be one of, it not the, very best biscuit recipes that I've ever made. It makes beautiful big biscuits that are fluffy and totally delicious. Beyond doubt it's a keeper. Made for ZWT7 but these babies will be made to accompany many soups, stews and who knows what in this house from now on.

Beautiful texture, unbelievable flavor! I had never made a biscuit with egg before, but would definitely do so again! My dough seemed quite wet when mixed, but I refrained from adding flour and am so glad I did. These were amazing! I used buttermilk and added fresh basil and sage along with the chive and parsley. A showstopper of a biscuit!
