    origamifreak's Note:

My brother loves popovers and makes them about every other weekend. Our mom used to make them and they were one of our favorite breakfasts. Makes 12 large popovers - use the deep popover pans - not those wussy muffin tins!

    Directions:

    1. 1
      Preheat the oven to 450°F.
    2. 2
      Grease popover pans.
    3. 3
      Mix the eggs.
    4. 4
      Add the oil.
    5. 5
The idea is to mix - don't beat or you will get no action in the oven!
    6. 6
      Add 1/2 the milk.
    7. 7
      Add the salt
    8. 8
put the popover pans in the oven to preheat.
    9. 9
Add the flour gradually so as to avoid lumping.
    10. 10
Add the remainder of the milk.
    11. 11
The mix should be smooth and the consistency of heavy cream - again, don't beat.
    12. 12
Fill the popover pans - we use a pitcher to do it quickly - don't want the pans to cool down!
    13. 13
Bake for 15 minutes at 450°F.
    14. 14
Cut the heat to 350F and bake 15 - 20 minutes or until crispy brown.
