My husband loves this salad and so I'm posting it here for safekeeping. I hope you enjoy it as much as he does!

Directions

  1. Put desired amount of lettuce in a bowl.
  2. Add the tomato, artichoke hearts, cucumber,egg if using.
  3. Distribute tuna over the top.
  4. Mix together mayonnaise and sesame oil.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add 1 to 2 tsp water to thin just a little.
  7. Pour over salad and top with alfalfa sprouts.
  8. Enjoy!
  9. Makes 1 serving.
  10. Note: my husband also likes a little cottage cheese in this salad too.
  11. Put on top of tuna.

I had to leave out the artichokes since I cannot get them.I really liked the addition of sesame oil.Made it for Jim's cookathon.Posting recipes that he liked is a good way of remembering him.

I loved this! The tuna, tomato & marinated artichokes turned out to be a natural together, and the toasted sesame oil added a nice accent. I can see why this is a hit with your DH, Sharon, it's gonna be one of my faves, too!

nice salad that lends itself to what you have on hand. i added olives, used romaine lettuce, lots of cucumbers. the dressing was interesting with that smoky taste of sesame oil. this made a light lunch for a hot day.
