A friend made this and brought it to our Supper 8 many years ago. We served a Mexican spread and this was a perfect fit. It is very different and truly delicious!

I made this for Boxing Day lunch with friends and family and it was very popular. I had only had jicama in Chinese soups before and didn't know you can eat it raw. Nice and crunchy and the jicama absorbs all the other flavours. Adding this to my "regulars" list of meals. Thanks for posting Chef Buggsy Mate. Made for Aus/NZ Recipe Swap # 47

I got this recipe from my mom and made it for my Christmas Eve party 3 years ago. Now I have to make it every year and take it to every party I go to because people love it so much. Anytime I say "what can I bring?" everyone says, "that amazing salad"

Very nice salad! I couldn't fine any good pomegranates so left them out [can't wait to try this again WITH them later in the year!], but other than that I followed the recipe! Loved the combo of jicama, oranges & peanuts! Thanks for sharing! [Tagged as a bonus recipe, then made & reviewed in AUS/NZ Recipe Swap, Mar 08]
