      Made this for dinner tonight and typically DH is not a meatloaf fan. He loved it. I used organic ground beef and for lack of a fresh onion, I added recipe-ready onion and tomatoes, old fashioned oats, I used all the celery, sage & added pepper, and none of the salt. I made the glaze sparingly with 1/2 the brown sugar and added pepper. We will be having this again. I baked it with parchment paper and there was very little grease in this dish.       I used the celery and omitted the salt. I used quick oats. The taste is really good. My son ate it without adding more ketchup. He was so happy to eat meatloaf. Thanks laurenpie :) Made for cookbook tag game

      I have been making meatloaf with oatmeal for several years. This is a very tasty yet simple, basic recipe. I subbed ground turkey for the beef, and the sage went well with the turkey. I was out of celery, but will try it with it next time. I cut the amount of sugar in the sauce to 1 tablespoon, as we don't like the topping too sweet. Made for Fall 2012 PAC game.
