This is a recipe that was shared with me over 15 years ago by a high school teacher I knew. I don't know where he got the recipe from. I have made it for many years. My family loves it. I hope you enjoy it too. I like to serve this with cooked rice, either on the side or mixed in the bowl with the "stuff". Don't forget a nice loaf of French bread to go along with it.

This is a great recipe. I love stuffed cabbage, and this is very similar in flavor, plus it is so easy. I did throw in a couple of teaspoons of steak seasoning to add a little extra flavor, but everything else was pretty much as directed. Thanks for the great recipe.
- 1 lb hamburger (uncooked)
- 2 (15 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes, with juice (regular flavor or Italian flavor)
- 1 medium head of cabbage (cut into bite size)
- salt and pepper
