I made this soup 2 days after Thanksgiving. Yesterday I made stock out of a turkey carcass and tonight made this soup from the left over meat. This is CRAZY good! I doubled the recipe and added an additional 2 cups of stock. I cooked it on the stove top for about 2 hours. These minor changes are all that I made and it turned out great! Thanks Ally for posting.

Excellent soup. I did not make this in the crock pot, but on top of the stove using precooked turkey (I used one large turkey thigh simmered and removed from the bone). I also added one cup of frozen corn for some color (just a personal preference). Also, like one of the other reviewers, I missed the lime juice and cilantro. Can't wait to try the leftovers with the cilantro and lime ~ will make a great soup even better. Thanks for posting this Ally! Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup.

Yummy! I couldn't find turkey so I used boneless skinless chicken and I had some left over corn on the cob that I cut off the cob and threw into the soup. My husband and I really enjoyed it. I forgot the cilantro annd lime until I reread the recipe today but it was still fantastic. I even had leftovers for lunch today. Mmmmm.

Great soup! I used leftover turkey from Thanksgiving and cooked it on the stovetop. I doubled the recipe, and used a mix of homemade turkey stock & water until I got a more broth-based soup. My husband doesn't like super-spicy foods, so I used one can of tomatoes with mild chiles, and one can of plain diced tomatoes. Very tasty, and very South-Beach friendly!

Great soup! I made it on the stove top using black soybeans, leftover turkey and turkey stock. It is hard to believe something this easy is so delicious and relatively low carb.

Made this about a week ago and it was very easy and very good. Nice spice but not overpowering. Thanks for posting.

Very good! I used chicken thighs instead of turkey and added red pepper flakes b/c I didn't have diced tomatos with chilis. Yum.

I made this on the stove rather than in the slow cooker. I had to double the amount of spice in the rub in order to get all the turkey in contact, and so that's probably where I went wrong. It was so hot I could hardly eat it, although my boyfriend thought it was fine. Either that, or the chilies in the canned tomatoes in Texas are way too hot! Will try serving the leftovers on rice to cool it down.

My family loved this soup... I have to make double next time.. it wasn't enough... my 9 year old asked for second 10 seconds after tasting. He couldn't stop saying.. "this is so good". The only thing i omitted was the cayenne pepper to make it more kid friendly. Other than that I followed the recipe to the T. I will make it again soon so that I can have some extra to keep for me for the week. It will be great as a warm snack only 3 points for 1 1/2 cup its so great. Thanks, Ally
