I've been making stromboli by a recipe just like this for years, except mine didn't have the garlic butter. I came in search of a way to add more flavor to my stromboli & I think that's exactly what I was looking for!
Awesome! I used Pillsbury reduced fat French Bread loaf and subbed pepperoni for salami. Also instead of butter used some chile flavored olive oil. Received rave reviews on this one. Thanks for posting a keeper.
Very easy to make. The flavor was nice but I'm not sure I loved the texture of the cornmeal. I will try to make this again and mix up the meat and cheese combos and omit the cornmeal. Thanks for posting.
Wow, cheap, easy, yummy! In addition to the 1/4 lb each of ham and salami, I also added 1/4 lb pepperoni. This might have been too much meat for some, but just perfect for my man (and me!). I also wound up using 1 Cup of shredded Italian blend cheese since that's what was available, and it worked perfectly. I did have some trouble getting the dough spread out without creating holes, but now I know to just go more carefully next time with more pressing and less pulling. I will be making this again and again and again!
What a yummy sandwich. We really liked the flavor and texture of the crust from the garlic butter and the cornmeal--great touch! Everyone really enjoyed this--thank you for a easy and tasty recipe!
This was very good and very easy to make! I used pizza dough instead of bread dough and left off the cornmeal but otherwise made as posted. It took about 20 minutes to bake. Thanks for the great lunch today!!
