Easy, delicious, and a great gift in a bottle, carafe or jar.
- 1⁄2 box cherry Jell-O or 1⁄2 box raspberry Jell-O gelatin or 1⁄2 box strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert (or your favorite flavor)
- 1⁄2 cup boiling water
- 1 pint light Karo syrup (corn syrup)
- Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.
- Stir into Karo.
- Use over pancakes, waffles, or fritters, etc.
I love fruit flavored syrups and this recipe intrigued me. Even though it doesn't give the size box of Jell-O to use, I'm rating it 5 stars for ease of prep and flavor. I used the 4-serving size of Raspberry Jell-O and the result was a lovely, fruity syrup. I plan on also trying this with Berry Blue Jell-O and will let you know how it turns out.
