  1. Boil butter, dates and sugar for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Add beaten egg, vanilla and rice krispies.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Shape into 1 inch balls.
  5. Roll balls into crushed rice krispies.
  6. Store in cookie tins with waxed paper.
