The was a great recipe, this was my fourth attempt at homemade bread the others failed horribly but this came out great and tasted fantastic. I now have confidence to continue the learning process. Thank you so much!
This recipe is great. I've done it with both my Puck food processor and KitchenAid stand mixer, and found the mixer much better at handling the dough. Thanks for a great addition to my recipe box!
Very good recipe for Challah. I did substitute melted sweet butter for the oil and Egg Beaters for the egg, just because that's our way around here. The dough was perfect and I was able to use all the flour at once in an ancient 11-cup Cuisinart food processor. I made two braided loaves and actually allowed one to cool all the way. Absolutely delicious and simple, thank you so much Jane.
This was my first-ever yeast bread, and I was amazed at how easy it was! I only have a 7-cup food processor, so I processed the dough in two batches, and it came together beautifully. The bread came out like fluffy white bread, not as sweet as bakery challah, and it tasted fabulous straight out of the oven.
