Recipe is authentic Georgia cornbread.
- 1 1⁄2 cups self-rising cornmeal mix (White Lily brand preferred)
- 1 1⁄2 cups self-rising flour (White Lily brand preferred)
- 2 cups milk
- 1⁄2-1 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1⁄3 cup sugar (pinch of extra sugar makes it taste sweeter)
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Combine ingredients.
- Spray pan: Bake for 20 minutes.
