Jambalaya

"I make this the same way my Mom does. I'm not sure where she got the recipe. It is so fast and easy that I make it at least every two or three weeks."

  1. With the exception of using chicken broth in place of the water, I followed your recipe. This was fantastic! Even my eight-year-old loved this...and she usually hates trying new foods. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Delicious! My boyfriend always orders Jambalaya at restaurants so I thought I'd give it a try and make it at home for him. I assumed it was going to take a lot of time and ingredients but this recipe was so much easier than I expected! Very tasty too - will definitely make again!

  3. I just made this tonight. Oh my gosh it was good! My husband and I both got seconds. The only change I made was to use imitation crab (we didn't have shrimp) and some black beans leftover from another recipe. I'll defiantly add the beans again! Delish!

  4. I needed a quick lunch and just happened to have some leftover turkey sausage, canned tomatoes, and cooked white rice in the fridge. I was able to whip this up over my lunch break! I followed the recipe loosely, omitting the water (cuz my rice was already cooked) and added jalapeno for spice instead of hot sauce. It was a nice spicy, healthy lunch. Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. I am giving this a 4 out of 5 simply beacause I used it only as a guide line to throw some thing together; i used 2 tsp McCormick Chilli paste/puree, Lb of fresh diced tomatos, and a sm cooking onion, 2 tsp garlic powder, and i didn't have thyme or rosemary so i used poultry seasoning instead 1 tbsp. Oh and i also subbed sausage for the shrimp, and after all that it turned out fairly good. Thanks for posting!
