Made these patties tonight with lamb and sweet potato for my DH and DD, and also filled some with a spicy blackeye pea and tomato mixture for myself. We all really enjoyed them and I will deffo be making them again. The pastry was easy to make (used food processor) and having read the previous reviews before I made this recipe, I only added 1/4 teaspoon salt to the filling. Thankyou for sharing this recipe :)

Had been searching high and low for patty recipe. Moved form Hackney to countryside and the only thing I miss is the jamaican pattys. Oh and the Turkish food. ok all the variety of food in London. Made these last night. I was really pleased with how they turned out. My 6 year old gave them an 8 out of 10 only because they weren't quite spicy enough for him. My fault though....I accidentially put 1 tablespoon of cumin instead of curry! To balance i added ginger, tumeric, coriander and chopped fresh corriander and parsley but forgot the chilli pepper. I was really worried about how they'd turn out but they were quite something. My other son who hates pattys really enjoyed them cos they did not have the spice. I used chilli sauce as a dipping to give them some heat but they were really tasty without. Easy to make. Lovely pastry. All held together wonderfully. Thank you very much. I will be making these again for sure. xxxxx

These are incredible! Made them last week, and family requested them this week! The spice combination is complex, I did add 1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper to the meat mixture(used ground chicken) to turn up the heat just a bit. I left out the extra salt in the second batch~not really needed in my opinion. I baked mine @ 375 for 25min. Thank you so much for sharing. Will be making them again.

Had these for dinner tonight by my DD's request. I had bought premade dough from Goya for empanadas only cause I was making these for during the week. I found these were a bit salty, so I wouldn't be adding the salt the next time in the filling. I think there is enough salt in the chicken stock. There was no temp for the oven so I baked mine for about 35 minutes at 350 F. and they turned out really great. Next time I would make the dough so I could add the spices of curry and turmeric, it would probably add an extra nice flavor. I made the 10 and froze what wasn't eaten. My DD and her BF really enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing your recipe Flavor Diva.
