This recipe is great. The allspice really makes a difference. I used the same recipe for chicken patties using poached chicken breast in place of the ground beef and it was also very good. Both came out nice. Like MarraMamba, I used the dough from Jamaican meat patties and it came out very flaky and yummy. Thanks for sharing Mariah!
These are superb. I made two changes, i reduced the curry in the filling by half since many of my favorite patties don't have a huge amount, and added 2 tbs of ketchup which i found in another recipe (i used Jamaican Beef Patties for the dough) because the heat needed tempering for me. Absolutely outstanding. So glad I chose you for Pick a Chef :)
