I did a half batch of these and these are so yummy, now I can'tr stop eating. A great way to use up a stock pile of jam..I used raspberry this time but can't wait to try it with other flavours..I used half brown sugar half raw sugar as I was running low on brown and all worked fine...Thanks for posting!

DH and I made this after we found ourselves with an abundance of jam (apparently Christmas is the season of jam-giving). DH liked it a lot, but I thought the oat mixture was a little dry; I think I might add a little more butter next time. Thanks for the recipe!!

I made these in one smallish jelly-roll pan and it's a good thing you called for waxed paper because they rose out of the pan just a little. I used 1.5 cups of brown sugar and they are really good. I also only use 2/3 cup of raspberry preserves because that was all I had. Yummy treats! Reviewed for the Aussie/NZ Recipe Swap (October.)

Fall PAC 2008: Kate - these are delicious bars! I made them for Rose and I for breakfast on the go. I made them half strawberry (for me) and half blackberry for Miss Rose. They were a hit!! Now I just have to vacuum the oat crumbs from the van - lol!
