This is a very moist, spicy twist on plain cornbread. I got this recipe from my sister-in-law. I never liked cornbread before this!

  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Grate the cheese, chop the onion and jalapeno's up fine.
  3. Add onion, cheese and chili's. Mix well and add remaining ingredients, using enough buttermilk to have good pouring consistency. Preheat oven to 425-Prepare iron skillet with 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil in the bottom, place in the oven until ready. Pour batter in heated skillet and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
