Directions

  1. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add spices and saute 30 seconds.
  3. Saute onions for 5 minutes or so until limp.
  4. Cover pan and turn heat down to low.
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20-30 minutes, until onions are very soft and brown.
  6. Raise heat to medium.
  7. Add tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes.
  8. Add beans and heat through.
  9. Adjust salt and pepper.
