Boy did this ever hit the spot on a hot and humid day. I have always loved capers in tuna so I know that this was going to be a hit right off. Mixing it together works really well because it helps to keep the filling from squishing around in the bread, very nifty and delicious. :D
This is a wow sandwich. DBF usually doesn't do anything that he thinks may be "diet food" - He was none the wiser on this one and enjoyed it almost as much as I did. I was concerned at first about mixing the lettuce up with the tuna, as it is different than how I usually make my tuna sandwiches. I was very pleasantly surprised because the lettuce added a lot more bulk to the sandwich without adding a lot of extra calories and it tasted delicious!
This is a great light tuna sandwich!!Thanks lazyme for sharing!!
I chose this recipe especially for DH as he loves tuna :) and he was not disappointed. This was a new twist for him, oil & vinegar dressing on tuna, but he really enjoyed it. Thanks lazyme! Made for Cookathon for lazyme, April 2009.
This was so good and filling! I had it for an early supper and now I don't need to snack on anything for the rest of the evening or night. I added a little more oregano than I should have but generally speaking it didn't do any harm to the sandwich.
Wordeful sandwich! That was my lunch today and I loved it. I made 6 sandwiches instead of four. I left out the garlic cause my BF hates garlic (can you believe it?) was my only change. I think that its also a wordeful salad as well. Its a keeper, thanks so much for posting. Made it for market tag.
This is a great light sandwich! Loved the capers and lettuce in this! Used a mix of lettuce and a bit more capers. Grilled a bit in my George Foreman grill. Made for Photo Tag. Thanks lazyme! :)
