Very good! I used half and half as didn't have heavy cream on hand, and also substituted 2 Tbsp dried parsley instead of the fresh and omitted the olives for the same reason although I want to try it with the olives next time. I also think I'll make it with fettucini pasta next time. We had it with a side of broccoli, a roll and a glass of wine. Definitely will be making this again.

This was good and easy to make. I didn't add the olives and used about 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper instead of red pepper flakes. I didn't add the full amount of pasta because we like our pasta saucy and it seemed like there was more pasta then sauce. I didn't have italian tomatoes so I used petite diced tomatoes and 1/2 teaspoon of italian seasoning. I also only used two tablespoons of parsley. Hubby said it tasted better then it looked. I also enjoyed it.

I wanted pasta but didn't want my regular spaghetti and meatballs or lasagna and this was perfect! Everyone loved it. I did make a few changes such as adding half a diced red pepper in place of the pepper flakes, adding about 1/3 cup of Chardonnay, and of course a few more cloves of garlic. (48)

One of our favorite recipes. I leave out the olives and pepper flakes and add some black pepper, garlic and onion powder for extra flavor. It tastes even better the next day reheated with a little extra cream.

I was just about to post this same recipe (without the olives). I found this recipe in Bon Appetit and have been making this for years! It is one of my favorites!

awesome! Didn't use the olives, but had about 1/3 cup of black beans that I did add. Anything with sausage is good!

I made this tonight and it was very good. It was a hit with DH and DS too (DDs did not eat it, but I think they would have liked it.) I made some modifications to make it lighter. I used turkey sausage and 1c skim milk and .5c half and half instead of whipping cream. I wasn't sure if it would thicken up, so I sprinkled 1 T of flour after step 2. I used a whole box (1lb) of farfalle - I don't have a scale to know what 12 oz is, and I hate having a portion of pasta left over anyway. I omitted the olives because I don't care for them. This made a HUGE amount. I'd say even with 12oz of pasta it is way more than 4 servings. Using another recipe analyzer, my version of the recipe (I said that it made 6 servings) came out as 512 calories and 15g of fat (2.2 saturated fat). I honestly think it makes closer to 10 servings - 4 of us ate it tonight and there is a whole other meal for 4 left. I served it with a green salad. I will definitely be making this again. 1/17 update - I made this again and added green peppers (see photo) during the 2nd step, and it was great! Very versital recipe.
