This is much better than just that normal can of peas!
- 2 lbs green peas
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 6 scallions, minced
- 1⁄4 cup of fresh mint
- 1⁄4 cup water
- salt & pepper
- grated parmesan cheese
- Saute onion in hot oil until brown.
- Add water, peas, mint, and seasonings.
- Cover tightly and steam till peas are tender 7-8 minutes for young peas, 15 for large peas.
- Serve hot sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
