Hi, Derf! I made this tonight for supper. What a great soup for a chilly night, and SO easy! I made my own meatballs. For the pasta, I used Pennini Rigati. Next time, I'm going to try the macaroni. I served this with tossed salad rolls and Saltine crackers. Thank you for such an easy, warming recipe.

This was excellent! I did add two cans of tomatoes and some pepperoni per another recipe I saw. I also added about 20oz of beef broth. The end product was wonderful.

I liked how easy this was to make on a weeknight after work. At first hubby was dissapointed that we were only having soup for dinner, but he chowed down and took all the leftovers for lunch today! I added a 5.5oz can of V8, used about a cup of elbows, and probably around 20 frozen homestyle meatballs. Thanks for a keeper!!

I used low sodium beef broth, Italian-style stewed tomatoes, double the meatballs, and about 3/4 cup of dry pasta. Also, I did add some crushed red pepper for "a little zip". Next time I might add another can of tomatoes just for a little extra juice, as well as more tomatoes. This soup was so easy to make and so delicious. We ate it with sliced pugliese bread. I can't wait to eat the leftovers for lunch today.

Delicious soup! I used organic beef broth instead of using the can broth and water. I used the Ditalini pasta. I also used a deluxe stir-fry frozen veggies that had Italian green beans, broccoli, little corn cobs, & red peppers. I think any frozen veggie combo will work great in this recipe. I had frozen meatballs in my freezer (kittencal's recipe) that I added to it, and served some cheese bread along side of it. It was fast & easy to make and very delicious. Thanks Derf, for the good recipe! I'll be making this again.

So tasty! I added a splash of red wine and omitted the pasta and threw in some more veggies in stead. Lovely meal to use up my left over frozen meatballs. Now I get to make another batch! Thanks for posting this great recipe

I had some Italian meatballs in the freezer and wanted something easy to make. This was very good soup. I used v-8 juice instead of the water and orzo pasta I think the parmesan cheese is a nice addition to the top of the soup. Everyday ingredients and fast and tasty. Served with Bretzel Rolls (Bavarian Pretzel Sandwich Rolls). Thanks Derf for sharing this recipe.

I love meatball soup. I was looking for mexican meatball soup and came across this one. Had to try it! Outstanding! I love italian food, so this one will go in my saved cookbooks. Had wonderful flavor and the aroma was heavenly... especially on these cold nights. Thanks for sharing. Will be making again SOON! ~V

This soup was so yummy, and our whole family gobbled it up. My tomatoes did not have any seasonings so I added some hamburger grill seasoning to it, and used star shaped pasta because that's what I had in the pantry. The soup got going to a rolling boil and didn't want to cool down to simmer- the broth ended up reducing and the whole thing was a bit more stew-like. Fast, easy and definately a keeper that will be made over and over again!
