This recipe is also great with canned green beans - drained. I also add more veggies sometimes and it is good as well - make sure and adjust the dressing amounts for more veggies.
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1⁄4 cup fat-free Italian salad dressing
- garlic, to taste
- 1 lb fresh green beans, rinsed and trimmed
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in Italian dressing and let simmer for a few minutes to thicken up slightly. Add green beans. Cover and cook for 7-15 minutes, stirring often and checking to make sure the beans are cooked to your desired tenderness.
- Uncover and cook until beans reach desired tenderness, if not previously done.
