Flavorful dressing that I use to pour over greens and/or my couscous.
Make and share this Italian Dressing recipe from Food.com.
- 3⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1⁄3 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 3⁄4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1⁄2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1⁄4 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1⁄4 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground mustard
- Combine ingredients in a jar with a tight filling lid.
- Shake well.
- Pour over greens and toss gently.
Delish! Easy to make. Gets better as the flavors meld. I did add 2-3 drops of hot sauce. Used it over a salad of greens, kalmata olives, tomatoes, parmesan strips, red onion. YUMMY!!
OMG this was good, made this for My 3 Chef's Game-08 with an Italian theme and soooo glad I did. I did have to sub a little bit, could not find italian seasoning (in Italy??) so used a mix of oregano and basil, then didn't have cider vinegar so used balsamic. Poured it over a huge salad and with Italian Chicken (also used this to prepare that recipe) and steamed white rice, what a great dinner - DH is still complementing me. We even had enough left over to use for dipping sauce with a crusty italian loaf of bread. Thanks so much TL for a GREAT recipe that was simple to make with clear instructions.
Good dressing! I only used about half the olive oil, and I thought that was plenty. Thanks for sharing!
