I found this recipe on Paula Deen's site and figured it was already posted here. I had to make a soup for our office "Soup Cook Off"....and I believe this will be a winner! This soup came together so quickly and my family loved it and said it needs to be a regular addition to our fall/winter soup season. I served it with some cheddar/garlic cheese biscuits. Try this one, you will not be sorry!
The flavor of this soup is delicious and it is so easy to make. We had this for lunch the other day with some cheddar biscuits. I did season the chicken with some salt and pepper while browning it. I also added some green beans that I wanted to use up. You could really add any vegetables you wanted - the options are endless. I also added a handful of fine egg noodles. Delish and a definite keeper!
I made a batch of this yesterday afternoon, then let it cool and put it in the fridge. I had other things to make/eat for the day. This afternoon I decided to heat up a bowl for lunch with some garlic toast and it was WONDERFUL! I did add a little bit of creole seasoning and some fresh rosemary and chopped garlic to it when I made it. Very simple and delicious, and I love how it's so healthy too. Great stand by to have when it comes to chicken and veggie soup. Thanks Chelle!
