  1. This was good and easy to make. I am 11 and I fixed this by myself for my family for dinner. It made a lot and I thought because the cheese got so browned on top there would be lots left over. Nope--everyone loved it.

  2. Oh Inez, you have done it again! This was really wonderful and so flavorful! I added a can of fresh tomatoes with roasted garlic, some chopped green onions, extra garlic, and a little bit of sugar. I will be making this again and again. Thanks so much for the post. Try this everyone, try this!!! :)

  3. This was fabulous! I added some of my dad's canned home-grown tomatoes and a little bit more cheese. We didn't have any leftovers. Thanks!

  4. Delicious!!!This is a perfect dish for anyone who is a sausage and cheese lover. I used Italian sausage links, both hot and sweet and no beef. I sliced the links into bite size pieces after cooking. I used 8 ounces of each cheese, I also doubled the spices. I cooked the onion and green pepper in a seperate pan (I didn't have a pan big enough to cook all together)and then added to the sausage pan, then simmered for 15 minutes.

  5. Easy, quick and tasty! My husband especially loved it and he isn't much for pasta. It would have been useful to have instructions to cook noodles #1 as I was down to the point to add them and hadn't cooked them yet. Also, baked for 15 minutes, topped with cheese and then baked for another 15 minutes as after 30 minutes the cheese would be too browned.

Tweaks

  1. Followed recipe to a tee...except added wild rice instead of pasts...it was omazing! Its a keeper!! Five stars

  2. This makes a wonderful and very flavorful supper! I made exactly as directed except for using a red bell pepper instead of green, which did make a very pretty addition : ) The flavor of the sausage you choose makes all the difference. I will definitely make this again! Thanks for another great meal, Inez!

  3. I made this for a potluck and it was gone in no time! I used all hot Italian sausage instead of the ground beef. It added a little extra zip.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
