      I can't say enough good things about this one! I sauted chopped mushrooms with the onions and doubled the sauce ingredients to cover this extra volume. I put the patties on grilled 1" thick slices of garlic french bread and then topped with the sauce. Talk about perfect! I'm going to make the sauce and mushrooms to serve over toast points as an appetizer, and might try the same idea using sliced Italian roast beef on garlic toast. So many good things to do with this. My 6-yr-old grandson, being a man that loves his food "straight" loved the beef patty made into a cheeseburger. This recipe truly has something for everyone.

      I gotta tell you Lorac, this was one heck of a good meal. I doubled the sauce, also added to it about 2 tablespoons of Chianti. From reading the ingredients you would never imagine that such a great flavor would evolve, but oh boy, the taste of that sauce was incredible, not to mention that the patties are full of flavor also. Thanks for a great one. Will be making this often, that's for sure.

      I followed this recipe exactly, and all I can say is YUM!!! Next time I might double the cream sauce..there didn't seem to be enough, but maybe that's just because we liked it SO MUCH!!
