Questions & Replies

  1. Can I bake these for the first 30 minutes at home and then finish them the last 30 minutes when I get to my moms house for Christmas?

  2. Can I put the italian appetizer bites together the night before and then bake it the next day or do you think it will come out soggy?

  1. I've been making these for 15 years and I have to say they are a crowd pleasing staple! The only thing I do differently is I use only one jar of roasted red peppers and I dice them before adding. So good, I usually make it as a football snack!

  2. I prepared these for a reception at church and they were a big hit. I thought they tasted better a bit hot, though....the longer they cooled, the less I liked the crescent roll taste. I am wondering if there is another type of bread, perhaps pizza or biscuit rolls that would work better. If anyone has tried something else, please post. thanks for much for sharing this. I will use it again.

  3. Thank you...thank you...thank you for putting this online! I lost the copy that I saved from a magazine. Everytime I have any type of party, this is the one thing that everyone looks forwards to eating. My friend has been asking for this recipe for months...butI won't giveitto her. It's still our secret ;)

  4. I have been making this recipe since it first appeared in the magazine. Rave reviews every time. I use the sheet crescent rolls, so I don't have to worry about the "pinching" coming apart.

  5. I have to give these 5 stars because people were still taking about them days after my party. My husband left a tray in the fridge so he would have them the next day, that say's it all. What I did that was different was I used Procuitto (Italian Ham) I also used two kinds of Salami one a little on the hot side but not to much. I used one layer of provolone and one layer of Mozzarella and they were both grated so I just sprinked it on. I only used one layer of peppers as they were a good size. The next time I will get an extra pack of cresents or maybe use my homemade pizza dough. I felt I was a little short on the cresents. I also cut them in smaller bite size pieces. I put a tooth pick in each one so people could just pick them up. Also made the two pans I had go further. It's not the cheapes appetizer to make but it is worth all the raves! Thanks for sharing!
