My family had a get together back in may and we did all appetizers so everyone could just munch leisurely and enjoy the day. I made this and everyone really enjoyed it. I reduced the fat by using low fat cheeses, crescent rolls and used 2 eggs and 2 cartons of eggbeaters for the other 4 eggs and it turned out just as good. Definitely a keeper for further parties.

I prepared these for a reception at church and they were a big hit. I thought they tasted better a bit hot, though....the longer they cooled, the less I liked the crescent roll taste. I am wondering if there is another type of bread, perhaps pizza or biscuit rolls that would work better. If anyone has tried something else, please post. thanks for much for sharing this. I will use it again.

I have to give these 5 stars because people were still taking about them days after my party. My husband left a tray in the fridge so he would have them the next day, that say's it all. What I did that was different was I used Procuitto (Italian Ham) I also used two kinds of Salami one a little on the hot side but not to much. I used one layer of provolone and one layer of Mozzarella and they were both grated so I just sprinked it on. I only used one layer of peppers as they were a good size. The next time I will get an extra pack of cresents or maybe use my homemade pizza dough. I felt I was a little short on the cresents. I also cut them in smaller bite size pieces. I put a tooth pick in each one so people could just pick them up. Also made the two pans I had go further. It's not the cheapes appetizer to make but it is worth all the raves! Thanks for sharing!
