This rice was really nice! I made this in my rice cooker and I doubled the recipe, following the liquid:rice ratio for my rice cooker instead just to make sure it would work. I didn't use lime zest and substituted garlic powder for the fresh garlic since my garlic press was in the dishwasher at the time ;) I served with beef chimichangas, homemade salsa and guacamole... yum! DH loved it too (but he put ketchup on it! ha ha, strange, I know!). Made for ZWT5.

Excellent flavor just as written! I served it with fish and it was a perfect combination. Made for ZWT5.

Very good rice - I love the addition of lime. I made this with Honey Lime Chicken and Bananas With Coconut Milk (Gluten Free) for ZWT5 Jammin Java Jivers. Thanks!

This was a lovely rice dish! Made as directed except that I added 2 cloves of garlic. Very flavourful with no one ingredient overpowering. Will definately make this again! Made for ZWT5 - Ali Baba's Babes.

So good! I didn't find the lime flavor too strong at all, so it may just be a matter of personal preference. I added a little grated ginger root, because I had it out for another recipe anyway, but other than that, stayed with it as written. We loved it.

Not only a wonderfully quick and easy to prepare rice dish but also a very tasty one :) which was the perfect accompaniment to Lemon, Garlic and Basil Shrimp Skewers. Loved the lime and garlic flavours. I'll certainly be making this again post-ZWT: thanks for sharing this recipe. Made for Ali Baba's Babes for ZWT 5.

Would never have thought to put lime in rice, but so glad I tried it anyway. Made as a side to Lemon, Garlic and Basil Shrimp Skewers as an idea from another reviewer. Lime flavor was strong upon first bite, but more addictive bite by bite. My 4yo son who eats anything put his first bite in and tried to spit it out, but ate another and another and asked for more. Definately grows on you!!!

I stirred in the lime zest just before serving the rice. This was good with chicken. I also subbed basmati rice for plain white rice. Bright and refreshing taste! Reviewed for ZWT 2009.

This had a very mild flavor until adding more lime juice and zest at the end. I cooked the recipe and the rice was mushy. It still made a nice sidedish for grilled chicken skewers If I were to make this again I would wait until the rice was cooked and add all the extras except for the garlic, which was fine cooked with the rice. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Made for ZWT5 for the Cooks With Dirty Faces

This was strongly flavored with lime; maybe too much so...I added the ingredients to the water before it boiled, so maybe that was the problem. It was also very sticky, which I didn't anticipate. I added ginger, as another reviewer mentioned, but it was overly 'limey', IMO. Made for ZWT 5.

I loved the lime flavour in this rice. It was served with Lovely Lime Baked Fish and I found that the flavour was delicate enough so as to not detract from the fish. I used brown rice and cooked it on the stove top. Made for Jammin' Java Jivers ZWT5.

DH and I were split on this one- he said 3 stars, I said 4 stars. I really liked how the lime flavor really came forward in this dish, but felt like it was still missing something, maybe some ginger, or more garlic. It would also be good with a light fish dish, that was also using lime as a flavor. I used my rice cooker to make this, adjusting the amount of water to the amount for my machine. Made for ZWT5 by one of the Cooks with Dirty Faces.

This was really good. I love the taste of lime juice in this. I think it also went well with the garlic, especially since I added an extra garlic clove.

Made this as an accompaniment to Ginger-Honey Glazed Barbecued Pork Chops and it was tasty with a light flavor that enhance the meal without competing with the flavor of the protein. Since I don't eat white rice I prepared this with quick (15 minute) cooking brown rice and light butter. Great how much a simple addition can add to the results. Thanks Slatts!
