I got a bar menu on-board ship during our recent cruise & had the names of some specialty drinks, but no recipes for them. Most were tasted, touted by another (there were 6 of us) or just sounded good to me. So I did the Zaar searches & found most of the recipes at the Carnival Connections site. I have only 1 question about this drink -- How could it not be good?
- 1 ounce cherry vodka
- 1⁄2 ounce dark rum
- 1⁄2 ounce white rum
- 1⁄4 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 teaspoon grenadine
- 1 ounce whipping cream
- Blend vodka, rums & ice cream briefly w/a half wine glass of crushed ice.
- Pour into a wine goblet, top w/whipped cream, drizzle w/grenadine on top & serve.
Ooh, this was yummy!! It was a teensy bit early in the day for booze, so I only made a half recipe. The ice cream choices in the freezer were Ben & Jerry's Pina Colada and Haagen Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter, so I figured that the pina colada was the closest to vanilla I was gonna get without a grocery trip (peanut butter and grenadine are not friends). Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo because DH called me for something -- by the time I got back to my drink for a photo, it had kinda lost it's pretty :( . I guess I'll just have to make another one later, huh? Poor me! LOL Thanks for posting! Made for The Hot Pink Panthers for ZWT9
