Great Soda Bread, I'm eating some right now. Good texture amd color, smelled great baking. Yummy toasted, DH loves it. I added about 1/2 cup of dried cramberries along with the raisins. Recipe is a KEEPER. Thank you Bev.

This bread was so yummy! A little bit a sweet but not too sweet to have with a meal. But sweet enough to eat on it's own as a treat! However, my raisins did NOT incorporate into my bread. They were all on the outside and just fell off. Also, I baked it on the quick bread setting and it worked fine. I also set it on the Light setting and it could have been more brown. Maybe the medium settting would have been better for us?
this bread was wonderful, I put it in my bread machine and delayed it for 12 hours, it turned out so light and fluffy...I will make this again...it was a nice added touch to our St Patty's day meal...I did not have enough rasins so I made up the difference with dryed crandberries...
This is the best bread ever! So nice and chewy. My DH thought the same. We have been eating it for breakfast, lunch and supper. Excellent! Thanks for posting.
Very very nice. A nice addition to an Irish dinner. And makes for great sandwiches the next day. I did not use any raisins, as I am not fond of them, however the texture was great, it smells wonderful, and will certainly be made again. Cheers!
