A great all-purpose frosting. It's super easy to adjust the flavor just by using a different flavor of pudding. From my friend's mom, Joanne Olesko
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
- 1 cup milk
- Beat butter, shortening, sugar, and vanilla until creamy, about 15 minutes.
- Halfway through beating that mixture, start making the instant pudding (using 1 cup of milk), and let set for 5 minutes.
- Combine the two mixtures and beat for 10 minutes until light & fluffy.
