Wow! This is some seriously delicious chili! I am really, really impressed with the quality of this meal. The flavor combination was intense but outstanding. I used a pasilla chile powder, which made it even darker and smokier. Simply wonderful. I may just use this as my only chili recipe now! Thanks!
I absolutely love this recipe and make it about once a month. I love that isn't a traditional recipe and has a flare of its own. I always make as written with the exception of the hot sauce since my kids are still too young to enjoy it.
This was an interesting change from regular chili. My husband was afraid the BBQ sauce would be overpowering but it was fine. I used Kraft Spicy Honey BBQ sauce, only about half the tomato sauce and I did use the corn. I had to add some hot sauce at the table but I like things very spicy. I served this with steamed artichokes (weird, I know but they were on sale). Thanks Rhonda O for posting this.
