  1. Cook lentils in 4 cups water until tender. 15-25 minute Meanwhile saute the garlic and onion in the oil. Transfer to a medium sized bowl and add the rest of the ingredients and stir very well.
  2. Once lentils are soft, combine the onion mixture with the lentils in a slow cooker and cook over low heat for at least two hours.
  3. Enjoy.

very tasty! i can't comment on how these work in the slow cooker, though. i cooked the lentils until they were el dente & when the sauce ingredients were bubbly, i drained them & added them to the sauce. they simmered on low about 15 minutes while I made salad. they came out perfect! made for veggie swap 7/11. thank you!
