I made this exactly as written apart from thinking I had the whole cloves then discovering I didn't (so I used a pinch of ground cloves)! We love this-it was simple, subtley flavoured, colourful and a wonderful side to our fresh fish and raita.
Another winner, Pat! Subtle flavors that don't overpower. I used Jasmine rice.
I also used basmati rice, and 2 cups stock for one cup of rice. This was easy and delicious and turned out perfectly, looks good too! Thank you Pat, I'll be making this often.
Very flavorful rice! I used stock with a little yeast extract and halved the recipe. I also used basmati rice. Thank you for a tasty rice! Edited to add I did have to use more water for my rice-1 cup rice to 2 cups water.
