Fast, easy, very good! I used sour cream since I had no yoghurt - it was delicious. Thanks so much for posting this.

We absolutely adored this dish! Funny story... My brother-in-law lives in India, and he flew in for a suprise visit the same night that I was cooking this. He knocked on our door and came inside and the first thing he said was 'it smells like you're cooking Indian food in here'. What a coincidence :) He passed however, and exclaimed that he was 'ready to eat some American food for once' - LoL :D I made and used Quick Garam Masala and instead of cardamom pods (couldn't find any!) I used 6 teaspoons of ground cardamom. I served this with Butternut Squash With Cumin Couscous. Perfect!

I think this recipe was pretty good though I would halve the amount of cardamom. For those who commented that it is a little bland, I think the recipe needs some demi-glace. Next time I make this recipe, I will add some. I think it will add some depth and needed saltiness in the recipe.

Really easy dish to make....i made this with turkey instead and left out the cream (trying to keep the pounds down) and still turned out delicious!

I really loved this recipe, and I only made a few adjustments. First I boiled my own tomatoes, took the skin off and pureed them and added these instead of canned tomatoes. i also added an extra half tsp of sugar and also a little salt. I didn't have any cream, so I used unsweetened coconut cream instead, and it turned out very delicious! We ate the chicken with fresh homemade roti.

This was nice, but I am sorry to say my lacal Indian place still makes a better butter chicken!
Mine was a bit too mild and creamy, but I did prepare the chicken beforehand and freeze it in a ziplock bag. I think I may have lost some of the sauce by leaving it behind in the bag!

I wish I could give this recipe more than 5 stars! It deserves it! We've tried several Indian recipe at home, but this one beats them all by far (though I know Butter Chicken isn't a truly Indian dish). We didn't change much at all about this recipe, except we used boneless thigh meat. We did add a little fenugreek and cumin towards the end to suit our tastes a little better. But it probably didn't need it! It was so yummy.. not too spicy or hot. Nice & fairly mild. Served with basmati rice and onion kulcha. We will definitely be making this over and over again!

Very good Butter Chicken. I only made half a recipe but was easy and had great flavor. Served with Mattar Paneer and Bread Machine Naan.

This is a fantastic recipe. The smell that came from the pan as I was cooking was divine! I will definitely be cooking this again, maybe evening tonight!

Really, really good! We'll be making this again for sure. Served with Perfect No Fail Basmati Rice. Perfect amount of spice. This would be a great recipe to serve to someone who hasn't had an indian curry before. Thanks for posting!

This was good but lacked that really salty buttery cardamom flavor I came to love in my early days of Indian food - still very easy and the consistency of the sauce was fabulous

This was FANTASTIC. It was as good as the Chicken Makhani at our favorite Indian recipe, which we now live thousands of miles away from. This made us so happy, because it was so close and it was like being there. Thanks so much for posting it. :)

Made this the other night and it was easy and tastes awesome! I think next time we will cut the sugar in 1/2. We didn't have 1kg of chicken, so I added in a can of chickpeas. That was fabulous! Otherwise, we did the exact recipe. Thanks for a keeper!!

I used sunflower oil instead of peanut, replaced the 400g tomato puree with 70grams tomato paste and a cup water, used unsalted butter and about 700 grams chicken breast. The rest I followed to the letter. It was excellent, very quick and easy. The flavours work very well together and develop during the eating! This will be a standard meal for us now. Thanks for posting!

I just made this recipe and I thought it was amazing! My fiance is pakistani and we have always used the boxed butter shan chicken mix, but by far this was great. I did add a little bit of asparagus and yellow squash and it really pulled the dish together. I'm serving it over angle hair with a little tumeric. Fantastic!
