Someone gave me this recipe years ago - so easy to make! The only "cooking" time involved is melting the chips.
- 3⁄4 cup melted butter
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 1⁄2 cups peanut butter, crunchy style
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 12 ounces chocolate chips or 12 ounces butterscotch chips, melted
- Combine butter and graham cracker crumbs.
- Beat in peanut butter and powdered sugar.
- Spread in a 9x13" pan.
- Frost with melted chips and let stand at room temp.
- until set.
- Cut into squares.
These are great bars. They make up in just a few minutes and have a wonderful blend of chocolate and peanut butter. What more could you ask? I did us 12 ounces of the Reece's Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chip Mix, because that was all I had on hand. Everything else was exactly as directed. Will make these many times.
What a simple delicious bar. I did use leftover milk chocolate from Christmas baking. Very simple to put together and the flavor is great. I recommend using cruchy peanut butter as it gives a little extra nutty appeal. I also would suggest to cut in small bars as they are very rich. Excellent and so easy, thanks!
Fiance says "A+." And he doesn't even like desserts that much. The rest of the family also devoured them in one day! (with my help) We'll definitely make these again. We like them with milk chocolate chips. They're so fast to make, you can clean up while the chocolate is melting. Perfect!
