The best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had, bar none. I loved the flavor of the 3 cheese together. The maynnaise-dijon adds a tangy taste. I made half with ham and half without for my family's differing preferences. These are wonderful, easy to make and very filling. Thanks Nurse Di.

Wonderful! Easy! Yummy! Instead of grilled cheese sandwiches, we made quesadillas. Another thing that's great about the cheese mixture is that it can be made far in advance of when you need it. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

You are right, these are the bomb!! I did not add the ham, just because we didn't have any and I was too lazy to go to the store. The cheese blend and mayonnaise-dijon are what make this sandwich so yummy and a stand-out from the usual grilled cheese. My family and I think they deserve more than 5-stars. Thanks for sharing this one. It is most definitely a keeper.

We really loved this. The mix of cheeses is a really nice touch. My son who is very picky just devoured this. Thanks.

I made these tonight for supper along with soup. We all gave it 5 stars. I used french crusty bread which I cut fairly thick. I didn't have dijon mustard so I used regular. They were absolutely delicious. I will be making these again very soon. Thanks for another great recipe.

The recipe title got it right. This is an incredible grilled cheese sandwich. I almost did not make this because I thought it looked like too much trouble for something as ordinary as grilled cheese. Thank goodness I made it because it is the ultimate grilled cheese. The mustard adds just the right amount of bite to the taste. I quartered the recipe for 2 sandwiches, and guesstimated the amounts. Even with grating the cheese, the preparation was quick & easy. I have made this twice in the past two weeks. Thanks for a great recipe.

Hot Diggity Dog. These grilled cheese sandwiches were good. Great mix of cheeses and I used smoked ham so it had a delicious smoky flavor. The kids and my husband loved them too. I served them with a salad for a filling meal. Thanks Nurse Di.

I'm afraid these "bombed" at our house. 5 out of 5 preferred regular grilled cheese.

Only grilled cheese my husband will eat now! I have also added thinly sliced black forest ham which he really like. I am a vegetarian so I regularly add tomatoes and/or green peppers to my grilled cheese sandwich and it turns out great!

Add another happy reviewer! This was awesome, not something we could eat everyday since it's quite rich-but a great break from the 'basic' toasted cheese and ham.

I had these over the weekend with leftover genoa salami rather than ham. Delicious!

Thanks for submitting this recipe NurseDi. This is a good sandwich, but it didn't knock my socks off. My kids didn't care for it (ewww onions!) and my husband did not ask for it to go into the keeper file.

This is a 10-star recipe! The flavors blend deliciously. I used wheat French bread, and added a dash of salt & pepper to the mixture. Added deli-sliced turkey to DH's sandwich & made mine straight cheese. DH couldn't rave enough! I made the full mixture, even tho I only made 2 sandwiches, and refrigerated the rest for another lunch. It came together really quickly. Thank you! This will be one I make often.

This is an excellent grill cheese sandwich. I made these for lunch for a very picky 14 year old who gave them rave reviews. I did use french bread (which I sliced to about 1/4-1/2" thick), but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Grilled cheese are one of my favorite easy meals...this recipe will be a standard for me.

I made these last night as a late supper for DH and I. They were absolutely delicious! (and I am not even going to think about the calories!) I did everything exactly as the recipe stated, using homemade french bread I had made in my breadmaker, and I did add some sliced fresh tomatoes from my garden. This was a real treat for both of us! Thanks for a recipe that is well worth more than 5 stars in my opinion!
