Incredible Butterscotch Brownies!
"This is a great recipe from a old community cookbook that belongs to my mother. It is unfortunate that so many neat recipes are hidden in the pages and not so many people know of them! I had to pass this one on,enjoy! 8-)"

ingredients
- 2⁄3 cup shortening
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 unbeaten eggs
- 1 1⁄2 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3⁄4 cup peanuts
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
directions
- Melt shortening.
- Add in brown sugar and mix.
- Add in eggs, dry ingredients, vanilla, and peanuts.
- Spread into a greased pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
- Let cool, then cut!
