Incredible Banana Bread

"I've never liked the taste of bananas, but this bread is incredible! I got the recipe from my sister-in-law, and decided to make it for my boyfriend as a treat. He loved it! It's become a favourite with my friends, and everyone asks me to make it. In the words of my little brother - it's the most delicious thing I've ever tasted!"

directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celsius. Use butter to grease up a loaf pan.
  • Mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients into separate bowls.
  • Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  • Mix in the walnut pieces and chocolate chips. Some people use one or the other, but I like to use both to make this bread extra delicious.
  • Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes.
  • NOTE: I find that with some ovens, this is not enough time to bake the bread thoroughly. What I usually do is pour the batter into two loaf pans and reduce the time, or I bake the bread until it no longer "jiggles" when I shake the pan gently. This usually takes about 1-1/2 hours. Watch it carefully as it bakes! It's worth the time.

  1. Wow! This banana bread is amazing! It's so soft and flavorful. My kids and husband ate the entire loaf in no time! I'd say it makes closer to 20 servings though.
