It is easy, you just dump all the ingredients into the pan (8x8), mix it right in the pan, heat, and eat. I hope you enjoy it.
- 354.88 ml flour
- 236.59 ml sugar
- 78.07 ml cocoa
- 2.46 ml salt
- 4.92 ml baking soda
- 118.29 ml vegetable oil
- 177.44 ml water
- 9.85 ml vanilla
- 9.85 ml vinegar
- Place all ingredients into the ungreased cake pan. (Round or Square).
- Mix thoroughly with a fork until well blended, and no clumps.
- Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes. Top with sifted powdered sugar.
This is a great basic recipe for some experimentation. I didn't have cocoa so used hot chocolate mix. Because of this I added 1 tsp nutmeg and a dash of cardamom to pump up the flavour a bit. Very moist. Wonderful when eaten warm. My DH and DS both loved it. Next time I'd try adding cinnamon, perhaps even cloves. I'll even buy cocoa and try the original (^:"
this almost the same as my friend's cake, she makes it in a baking dish. I have made it heaps of times, but I have found it works better for me if I mix the stuff in a bowl first. very moist and chocolaty, I ice it with chocolate butter frosting
