What can I say about this pie other than delicious? I can say fast, and I can say easy, lol! With the streusel topping it's like a great apple crisp. I used granny smith apples and they held up perfectly. Oh! My only mistake was forgetting to put a pan covered in foil on the lower oven rack. Oh, what a mess in the bottom of the oven, lol! But after tasting the pie, the mess didn't matter. Thanks for a great recipe, Mirj!
This a very good recipe. It isn't gourmet like stated but it tastes as though it is. I used 4 large Granny Smith apples and continued with the recipe. The pie was cooked in my oven after 55 minutes. We all enjoyed this dessert; my husband even thought that it reminded him of his mother's apple pie. Thanks for posting Mirj.
Simply delicious! I made this at Thanksgiving using six Granny Smith apples. I made it the day before and DH was complaining he had to wait a day to eat it. I sent the recipe home with some of the guests and I will be making this again. You could say this is my new favourite dessert to make. It doesn't get any easier.
