These pancakes are so incredibly easy to parepare and so very, very tasty!! I have never had IHOP pancakes, so I am unable to make the comparison, but these little rascals are quite delicious!! My attention was called to this recipe because it is made in the blender and I have never made pancake batter in a blender before, but it proved to work perfectly!! This recipe makes a thin pancake, which I personally enjoy. I served with real butter and real maple syrup for great breakfast!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!
Love, love, loooove this recipe. I used one cup of milk instead of one and one quarter cup of milk. I put crushed walnuts and one slice banana in the batter. The batter was so good that I kept licking the spoon. Perfect fluffy light pancakes. The pancakes were a big hit with my fiance'. Yummmy! I have booked marked this recipe; will use when the grandchildren come over. Chocolate chips pancakes, strawberry and blue berry pancakes. Yummmmmmmy! Thank you
Wasnt' crazy about these at all. Way too thin. Need about twice that amount of flour. Flavor was nothing I want again. The boxed mix from Walmart is better than this,
What a great recipe! I did modify it slightly (with the advice of other cooks) by adding a 1/4 c. flour and using buttermilk instead of milk (measurement stayed the same). I also cooked it on an electric griddle between 250 and 300 degrees so I didn't burn them. Patience, grasshopper, these pancakes were gobbled down by my entire family as I was pulling them off the griddle! :)
I'm not sure what just happened. This was like a science experiment gone wrong. I have no clue how everyone else followed these directions and didn't end up with something like a burnt marshmallow in the pan. It smells great...but this in not a pancake. The first time I made it I thought I did something wrong, trashed it, started over. Added more flour the second time around...same results as the first go around. Such a bummer because they smelled so good.
These pancakes are the best!! I've made these many many times and they always taste great. I started with the original recipe and have tweaked it over time to better suit our tastes. I use 1/2 white flour and 1/2 whole wheat, I add cinnamon and nutmeg (however much feels good at the time) and a splash of vanilla. I also usually throw in some ground flax seeds, just on general principle. 8~) Thanks for a real winner!!! UPDATE: My latest experiment with this recipe was to blend all ingredients, then pour into a buttered jelly roll pan. I baked it in a preheated 450* oven for 12 minutes. It turned out GREAT!! The same great pancakes but in a different shape, quicker and with a lot less babysitting! 8~)
This is the worst pancake recipe I have ever made. Too thin and tasted like baking soda.
This batter was a bit too runny for me. The pancakes came out very thin. It was better after Iadded a little more flour though.
We really enjoyed this recipe. When I mixed batter in the blender it was a little too liquidy so I pulsed the blender a few times and it thickened up enough. Definitely will make again.
My hubby said this should be our new standard pancake recipe and I completely agree. Very fast, easy, and yummy. They turned out thinner than I remember IHOP pancakes being but that wasn't an issue at all. Thanks for sharing this one :)
