I won't get iced coffee from the Dunkin Donuts location that don't melt their sugar. So I suggest you put equal parts sugar and water in a cup and melt them in the microwave just until melted (about 25 seconds for me) and let it cool. Sugar won't melt in ice so it all ends up lumped at the bottom. Also don't use milk. Use cream. It'll taste just like Dunkin Donuts!

Mmm -- this was really good. I brewed the coffee and stirred in the sugar while it was still hot, just to be sure it dissolved completely, and then put the coffee in a carafe in the fridge to cool. When it was cold I added the milk and just a splash of cream. All the good taste of Dunkin' Donuts coffee at a fraction of the price!

This was a great ratio of coffee and milk. I made a big batch instead of just a single cup. I also didn't use sugar, but caramel flavored syrup (2 tbsp for every 3/4 cup of coffee). It ended up being 3 cups of coffee with the added syrup, so I used 3 cups of a milk blend: a can of fat-free evaporated milk, 1 cup of fat-free half and half, and 1/2 cup milk. I don't think I've ever had Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee, but this is definitely better than McDonalds.

I use DD coffee and pretty much follow the same recipe with the following exceptions. I use Half and Half and a some condensed sweet milk instead of milk and sugar. I also will add a small amount of my favorite flavored creamer, i.e. Bailey's Irish Cream, Hazelnut or Creme Brulet, for additional flavor. Since I usually make it for a large group of people to enjoy, I end up making a one gallon pitcher that I then serve over ice. For this amount, I brew a strong 10 cup pot of DD coffee. I add 1 qt of Half and Half, 1 small can of condensed sweet milk, and 1 16 oz. bottle of flavored creamer. Enjoy. Raymond

I was looking for a good iced coffee and low and behold here is a recipe like Dunkin Donuts. Not only is Dunkin Donuts my favorite coffee but my Uncle Bill was the founder, so you might say I am partial! :D Yes, they do make the coffee stronger for the ice coffee, but the truly delicious flavor is from the special coffee beans in their blend of coffee, and unless you buy Dunkin Donuts coffee, you won't get the exact taste. I happened to have used their coffee, so it's pretty darn close to perfect. I also used Fat Free Half and Half instead of the milk for extra creaminess, as they use cream, not milk. Also, I added the sugar to the coffee and stirred it in when the water was nice and hot, then let it cool. It helps the sugar to dissolve in the water instead of settling down to the bottom of the glass. I also tried it with Splenda with great success. Delish! Linda

I gave this 3 stars. I liked this coffee. I'm not sure what Dunkin Donuts plain iced coffee taste like as I've never had a plain iced coffee but this was good. I get iced coffee's with caramel or chocolate syrup from Dunkin Donuts. When I purchased the fresh ground coffee from Dunkin Donuts I asked the lady how to make it taste like the hot coffee they serve. She said to use cream in the coffee instead of milk so I used light cream. To me it tasted just like Dunkin Donuts coffee but much cheapier even with their bags of coffee. I made this recipe of my iced coffee with what I had on hand cooled half caff. coffee, fat free milk, and splenda. I added 2 tsp smuckers caramel to the bottom of my glass after trying this first as I wanted some flavor. Overall this is good and I will make it again as I do enjoy iced coffee. Thanks for posting.
I live in Pa (outside of Philadelphia) and cooking, baking, cross-stitching and reading are my hobbies.

I collect cookbooks and cookie stamps/cutters and have a pretty big collection of both. I am also a fan of all things Amish, so I have quite a collection of things picked up in Reading, Lancaster and surrounding areas here in Pennsylvania.

I have 4 kids, who are the loves of my life and cooking for them and my husband keeps me on my toes! ;)

We bought an ice cream parlor in March 04 and it's been quite an experience!

Note: I love getting feedback on my recipes; all I ask is that you actually *make* them before reviewing them.

Also, if you make changes or substitutions, I'd love to see your suggestions and/or comments, but I'd appreciate no rating at all if it's not made as posted. Too many recipe reviews state margarine subbed for butter (if I list butter, it's REAL butter), different spices, low-fat ingredients, whole wheat flour instead of white, etc. The recipes will not work/taste as intended, so it's really not fair to rate them as such.

I'd also really appreciate it if you refrain from rating a recipe if you overcook or overbake it or it you don't refrigerate or store as listed.

I, of course, will adhere to the above when rating recipes, too!

Thanks and have a great day!

My Rating System:

***** A delicious recipe that was thoroughly enjoyed. It has excellent, detailed directions and is perfect as is. If a dish is especially easy, and I'm on the fence, I will give it 5* for ease even if it's very good instead of great. Something I will definitely make again.

**** Excellent recipe but confusing directions that I will make again in my own less confusing way OR Very good recipe that I'll probably make again if I find the time!

*** Good/OK recipe but probably not something I would make again OR Very Good recipe that doesn't have clear, detailed directions.

** Recipe was edible but not really enjoyed and will not be made again. Work involved not a good trade-off for the end result.

* Not edible and probably an error in the recipe. I feel that I pick recipes with ingredients our family likes, so in my opinion, there's an error somewhere. If there's a chance I made the error, I won't rate the recipe. ;)
