      maybe people will start doing this instead of movie theater popcorn with its huge amounts of transfats? i will definetly be using this recipe

      You're right, Renea', don't know why I never thought of this before, myself. I am not allergic to corn, however I have a digestive disorder that affects what kinds of foods I can eat. I have always liked rice cakes and am always looking for new ways to eat them. I believe I've seen 'butter flavor popcorn cakes' which of course, probably has corn in the ingredients, but I can see how easily one could figure that rice cakes w/some butter and salt would taste pretty good. I almost always buy the lightly salted plain rice cakes. I wonder if toasting them in a slow oven (like 200 or 250 degrees F) before tossing with butter and/or salt would improve the flavor or texture. I will try this, thanks for the idea! :)

      Masha Allah!! (Praise be to God!) I haven't had corn, at least popcorn intentionally in many years because of an allergy. Boy does this ever taste like popcorn to me and it doesn't even have that part that gets stuck between your teeth.. I will use this recipe again!
